Welcome to the 2026 Festival!
Tamborine 2026 celebrates families. We may be nuclear, extended, blended or chosen. We may offer each other emotional support, or share a home.

You’ll hear families of composers: Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, Lili and Nadia Boulanger. And families of influence and connection: musical kinships that cross countries and centuries.

You’ll also hear chosen families of musicians. The Lyrebird Trio—Glenn, Simon and Ange—plays with an understanding that needs few words. Aura Go and Timo-Veikko Valve perform with the intimacy of a private conversation.

Sara Macliver feels like family to many listeners who have lived with her recordings for decades. To musicians, she is also a kind of kin: an ideal collaborator, technically assured, musically open, a generous and searching partner.

There is our Tamborine clan too: the Tamborine Mountain Orchestra, joining us for community events across the festival. And families themselves are warmly welcomed to our Saturday morning program for young audiences.

And finally, there is our family of listeners. Come join the community.

Be safe in sound.
