Sharon’s position as cellist with the Australian String Quartet (2012 – 2020) was a recent highlight in a career spanning 18 years.  From 2008 to 2012 Sharon was a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.  Since then she has performed with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Spira Mirabilis Chamber Orchestra, as well as being a core member of the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.

In 2015 Sharon performed as a guest with the Australia Ensemble and Australian World Orchestra.  She was Artistic Director of the Barossa, Baroque and Beyond Music Festival from 2016 to 2021. In 2023 Sharon was appointed as Associate Principal Cello with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
