Program to include
Aura Go and Timo-Veikko Valve love playing Beethoven together. Critics say their performances bring “extraordinary life and colour” (Limelight) to his works for cello and piano. In this program they assemble a “new” Beethoven sonata from their favourite movements, then frame it with luminous miniatures: the lyrical stillness of Helvi Leiviskä, the delicate textures of Anton Webern, and the shimmering writing of Lisa Illean’s ever-weaver.
